Hi Cynthia! This bottle is definitely a tricky one. I would definitely love to try and help. Can you email us a photo of the ingredients? We’ll help you get this figured out :).

I have spent lots of time (waiting for certain supplies) and money (may have bought the wrong supplies twice) and I was so excited to have my bottle. But I think something is wrong. I was able to shake and mix the colors (pink and blue) and probably did a little too dark on the blue because that is a deep purple. Anyway, it’s been sitting for a least an hour and only about 1 inch of the bottom is back to pink. It’s like it’s stuck together. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Hi Ann,

The colors do separate! And I hear you. $50 is just so much!

I hope yours turn out great!

I too am loathe to spend the $50 Lakeshore is asking for a set of these. Do the colors go back to being separate just the same as those bottles or once they are shaken do they stay the combo color?

Thank you so much for the recipe and help!

I’ve never tried that, so I’m not sure. The oil in the bottle definitely complicates things a bit though. If you try it out though, please let us know!

Hi Melissa,
It’s actually corn syrup, not corn starch. Corn syrup is a lot like honey in consistency, but it’s clear. I hope that helps!

That’s a good idea. I haven’t tried that, but if you do, I’d love to hear how it goes!

I know that fine glitter is best but I like the glitter stars and hearts. Would they work in the oil one?
